How Do I Become A Freemason?
All you need do is to Ask
Freemasonry does not consider it proper to solicit for membership. Lodge Southern Cross accepts no one for membership unless they come of their own free will and accord. We believe that men are first made Masons in their hearts, then they ask to join our Fraternity. Freemasonry will take these men, good men in their communities, and show them a philosophy that will assist them become better men. Traditionally, a Mason would not invite a friend to join, but would wait for the friend to ask of his own free will. Therefore, to join, there is one major hurdle each candidate must pass, that is, you have to Ask a Mason to join.

- Be a man of at least 18 years of age

causes after you have joined. Freemasonry cannot help with legal or immigration problems. We
do not accept members who join with an expectation of receiving immediate financial aid from the lodge or other Freemasons.
Each man brings something different into the Fraternity, as different as the types of men that become Masons. But each shares a common core of beliefs and of dreams; each believes that, in a small way, by their actions they help make their world, their communities, and themselves better. If our ideals and goals interest you, we invite you to contact us and join us on the journey. Here are a few suggestions that might assist you:
