At our next meeting on 11th June 2013, Lodge Southern Cross will be installing Brother Heath Lester into the Chair of King Solomon, making him our Worshipful Master of the Lodge for the ensuing 12 months, and until a successor has been successfully installed in his place. Brother Lester will be the 132nd Master of Lodge Southern Cross #91
The honour of becoming the Worshipful Master of the lodge is the highest honour that the craft can give or a lodge bestow upon any brother and is the highest rank within a lodge.
The personal development required in a Masons to progress through the officers in order to be nominated for the office of Master of a Lodge is profound. This is not a simple acknowledgement of time spent as a mason, indeed many masons may be members of the craft for many years without being elected into the position of Master of the Lodge.
Every candidate must be true and trusty, of good report, and held in high estimation amongst his Brethren.
This is the culmination of the many years work for Heath. He has shown himself to be adept at both the administrative side of the lodge, and to be a great ritualist. His passion for the craft and his Brethren will make him, not only a well supported Master, but also a very competent one.
On this Occasion, the Installing Master will be Worshipful Brother Kendall Merrick who was twice Worshipful Master of Lodge Southern Cross #91
